Upper Echelon Lives again!!
So here is our story.
It started out in beginning of Feb 2005.
A group of real life friends decided, we wanted to form a guild. So we coughed up the money to purchase a guild charter.
We were around level 10-15 at the time.
So began our adventures as Upper Echelon.
Along the way, we picked up many friends that became part of the family. Many still remember fondly of Upper Echelon and all the good times we had. It was a place of friendship, respect and fun. We did our best to make sure no one was rude. Of course Upper Echelon went through some tough times, arguments and tension. But what made us strong was that we didn't just give up and leave for the next biggest guild. Instead, we stuck together and talked it out. Saw the views from all angles and managed the situation accordingly.
We grew to 40-60 unique members with 20-25 online each night. But there came a time when the level 60s needed something to do. At that point came a painful decision.
Eventually we came to the decision that we were going to merge with a bigger guild that was just starting out. Majority of us went into All Out War.
Our time in All Out War was great. Upper Echelon became the pillars of All Out War, quickly becoming dependable and needed members of that guild. We experienced Molten Core, put MC into farm status and almost completed ZG. We learned everything there is in MC and started leading some raids near the end.
But AoW came to an end recently and many of us were left to decide what to do next.
That is where Upper Echelon came back to life!
On Jan 22nd, 13 of the original Upper Echelon guild decided that it was time to step up and offer players of Gorefiend a place to have fun, friendship and loyalty while not giving up the idea of doing Molten Core. We want to develop a guild that looks at the guild as a whole and not the officers or special players that are a part of it.
Just 3 days after its revitalization, Upper Echelon has gained new members and regained some old ones. It is now sitting at 27 level 60s in the guild with a number of players under 60. Our member size is around 37 members and looks to be growing fast.
Although our numbers grows, we will try our very best to maintain that small guild feel and trust.
We believe that this will work. That guilds that want to have that loyalty, friendship and fun do not have to sacrifice Molten Core to obtain it.
